Since time immemorial,it was thought that moon is as dry as a bone.There have been many missions to moon but none could ever bring any evidence of water on its surface and it took a spacecraft from India,CHANDRAYAN,to bring back pictures which confirm the presence of water.It is small in quantity but water it is,beyond any doubt and it has been confirmed by none other than NASA,the premier space agency on earth.
The question in my mind is that-was this water present since eternity or it is a recent phenomenon!Is this one of the many unsolved mysteries in the universe or does God also thinks that he needs to provide life support for a new world for men to inhabit since earth is getting so crowded and becoming unfit to live because of greenhouse effect and what not.
I am sure this discovery is going to inspire many other missions to find other evidences of life since all our ancient literature suggests that wherever there is water,there is life.At least,we hindus know that.Missions to moon in future are definitely going to be exciting and i for one,will definitely love to write on that.
