I know that lot many of you would be surprised when i describe 3 Idiots as a bad film.Even my wife did as she thought all shows were house-full and audience seemed to be whistling and cheering aloud.
I agree that message of the film that youth should not be forced to choose their profession by will of their parents but instead choose their passion as their profession.I think this is already happening in west and we,the conservative India,are gradually following suit.I agree that life full of regrets is not worth living at all.
But what i did,nt like was vulgarity on display.One or two shots of boys in underwear are fine but adult guys dropping pants at drop of hat is just not on.Showing urine to be good conducter of electric current not once but twice is not comedy.Use of word "Balatkar"not once but ten times in a paragraph and then showing even girls enjoying this crude joke is not on.Ask those who have gone through this horror-do they find anything comical about it.Its beyond me what is the use of Censors if children are allowed to watch such crude jokes.As for acting,43 year old Aamir looked tired playing the role of college fresher as did his partners.Music was average and even Kareena looked wasted using words like gay,impotent for effect.I never thought one day we would be proud of our vulgarity.A film that would be remembered by me for actors like Aamir and Kareena falling for TRPs.
